RBT Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist Helping Hands Youth Services Columbus, OH Job Details Part-time | Full-time | Contract $23 - $25 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Data collection Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your efforts will help foster meaningful progress in communication, social skills, and daily living activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while gaining valuable experience in behavioral health and special education. Responsibilities Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors. Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and responses during therapy sessions accurately and consistently. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care routines. Support clients in developing communication skills through evidence-based techniques such as visual supports or alternative communication methods. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding client confidentiality and handling medical documentation appropriately. Collaborate with team members to develop and update individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that encourages growth, independence, and emotional well-being for clients. Skills Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis techniques. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively. Excellent data collection skills to track progress and inform treatment adjustments. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards related to behavioral health. Compassionate approach with patience for working with diverse populations requiring specialized care. Effective communication skills for collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with clients' families.
