Job Description
Overview We are seeking a licensed clinician to join a strong and effective mobile crisis response team for youth . We serve Huron county from 8 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday. Referrals come from schools, law enforcement, Child protective services, probation and the courts, and community members and families. Schedule is flexible. Services are offered in the home, schools, or community. Two team members respond together to all intakes and may continue to serve the family as a team if they wish. After de-escalating the family-defined crisis, the team may continue to work with the family to provide optional stabilization services. Team members receive strong supervisor support and training. Supervisors work in the field when needed. Candidate must have reliable transportation. Responsibilities Respond to emergent and non-emergent referrals, including intake interviews, mental health evaluations, and behavioral observations. Assess and de-escalate crisis situations. Provide individual, group, and family stabilization counseling sessions focused on mental health issues such as PTSD, grief, addiction, developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. Work with families in their homes to improve cohesion and communication. Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA and CARF regulations Collaborate with team members Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, or counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Licensure is required. Proven experience working with children and families in home or community or office settings; Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including motivational interviewing, crisis management, and trauma-informed care. Willingness to learn and broaden clinical skills and knowledge. Commitment to ethical behavior. Excellent communication skills to engage patients across diverse backgrounds and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively.
