Job Description
Empower Therapy and Wellness, LLC is a faith-based mental health practice that seeks to support adults, children, and adolescents in their emotional and mental well-being. Empower is passionate about giving people the tools and resources to be equipped to move forward in their lives. Do you desire to be a part of their growth and healing? Empower is seeking to find qualified, motivated clinicians to be part of a growing practice. The candidate must have a master's degree in social work, counseling, or marriage-and-family therapy and be independently licensed in at least one of those areas. Empower is looking for candidates who can work with children, adolescents, and/or adults. To address client needs, the candidate should be able to utilize various therapeutic modalities to treat things such as trauma, anxiety, and depression. Experience with acute needs around psychosis, bipolar disorders, and personality disorders is preferred. If working with children, the candidate would benefit from having experience in play therapy and must be comfortable working with caregivers. Empower is also seeking candidates who have experience working with the following specific disorders and/or challenges: ADD/HD Autism Addiction Eating Disorders (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge-eating) Responsibilities include the following: Completing intake assessments, diagnosis, and progress notes for clients. Providing mental health counseling to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Integrating Christian faith into therapy if the client is seeking this. Collaborating with other clinicians in a peer consultation setting. Attending a weekly group team meeting and being comfortable with prayer and faith incorporated into this meeting. Conducting therapy in compliance with the licensure's code of ethics.
