Relief Nursery is a non-profit COA agency that provides comprehensive family support services that are easily accessible to families who are raising children birth through five years of age and who are experiencing high levels of stress. We provide early intervention that centers on building successful and resilient children and strengthening parents. Our staff work as a team to provide a unique array of support, from therapeutic classrooms and outreach programs, to parenting education, substance use disorder recovery support and more. Now more than ever, these families need your support. This is a unique opportunity to serve families in our programs by providing therapeutic support and skill development to children in an early childhood classroom setting, as well as family therapy, basic needs support and case coordination, in each family's native language. Registered Associates/CSWA's:
Licensure supervision is provided. Responsibilities 1. Conduct family, group, and individual therapy with young children 2. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments 3. Develop treatment plans with age appropriate goals and measurable objectives based on children's assessments 4. Provide emotional, social, and behavioral support during all classroom hours using Positive Behavioral Support Interventions, and attachment-based, relational engagement with children to promote healthy social-emotional development 5. Keep young children safe in accordance with Relief Nursery standards and applicable laws and regulations 6. Work with Multi-disciplinary team members to engage struggling family members and bring them into services under difficult circumstances 7. Write progress notes and other required documentation to maintain client files in accordance with applicable Relief Nursery standards and the OARs 8. Collaborate with relevant teams in implementing services for children and families 9. Coordinate services with team members in order to best support the goals and objectives specified on the child's IFSP (Special Education), and Treatment Plan (Mental Health) 10. Support data collection and documentation on progress toward goals 11. Maintain all required documentation and paperwork in accordance with Relief Nursery and other relevant standards 12. Collaborate with teams in classroom curriculum planning and implementation 13. Conduct home visits, phone calls, and other interactions with families 14. Assist with child/family orientation to Relief Nursery programs and services 15. Participate in designated team and all staff meetings, training, supervision and Relief Nursery special events both during the day and periodically in the evenings 16. Maintain CEU's and other educational requirement of the position 17. Act in accordance with responsibilities and protocols set forth in Oregon Child Abuse Reporting laws and Relief Nursery policy 18. Supervise Interns as needed 19. Perform other relevant duties as assigned 20. Weekly Distribution of Time (sample) a. Caseload of approximately 16. b. Client Services (Billable Time): 55%, 22 hours i. 12 hours of in-classroom time (skills training, group therapy, individual therapy ii. 7.5 hours individual/family therapy outside of class hours iii. 1 hour case management iv. 1.5 hours of collaborative team meetings (concentrated in two weeks of the month) c.Documentation:
25%, 10 hours d.Other:
20%, 8 hours i. Non-billable Family Support ii. Trainings, meetings, other e. Approximately half of the billable time for the Bilingual Therapist should be conducted in Spanish. Minimum Qualifications 1. Applicants must be able to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional with the State of Oregon. Assistance will be provided with this process. 2. Experience supporting children and families experiencing poverty, stress, and other barriers 3. Experience working in an early childhood setting supporting children with social, emotional and behavioral challenges 4. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member, understand developmentally appropriate early childhood practices, and child guidance techniques consistent with a therapeutic approach 5. Experience and training in conducting family, group, and individual therapy and skills training with young children 6. Experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and knowledgeable application of DSM diagnosis 7. Experience developing treatment plans with age appropriate goals and measurable objectives based on the assessment 8. Knowledgeable in writing progress notes and other required documentation to maintain client files in accordance with applicable Relief Nursery standards and the OARs 9. Ability to maintain progress notes and treatment plans in a timely manner. 10. Excellent communication skills and an ability to support people who are under stress 11. Ability to work effectively and respectfully with a diverse population 12. Proficient in computer use 13. Good physical stamina with the ability to lift and interact with children by bending, kneeling, sitting at child-sized tables and chairs, and on the floor 14. Ability to write professionally 15. Current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record/insurance coverage 16. Current Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Food Handler's cards 17. Successful completion of a criminal history records check as specified by Oregon law Preferred Qualifications 1. Knowledge of and lived experience with Latino/a families and culture 2. Bilingual inEnglish and Spanish:
Applicants must be able to pass a Spanish Language Proficiency test, allowing them to be certified as a CLSS provider with the State of Oregon, within the first 30 days of employment. Assistance will be provided with this process 3. Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or other clinical licensure preferred, with the desire to support families using a holistic and team-based approach. Applicants must be able to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional with the State of Oregon. Assistance will be provided with this process.
