JOB SUMMARY
Join our team at New Horizons Recovery Center, is an Outpatient facility assisting in Addictions, Mental Health and Co-occurring areas at a facility dedicated to providing exceptional care to adult individuals in need. We are currently seeking a dedicated Group Facilitator to facilitate therapeutic groups and support services for individuals dealing with addictions, mental health. and or co
  • occurring challenges. As a Group Facilitator, you will oversee the evening adult group program.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the adult evening groups held on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 pm
  • 9 pm and group documentation. Part time hours can be up to 20-25hours.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities.
  • Provide direct support and guidance to clients during group sessions, encouraging active participation and emotional expression.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care for each client, including case management and coordination of services.
  • Utilize psychotherapy techniques to help clients address underlying issues contributing to their mental health challenges.
  • Work with diverse populations, including geriatric clients and individuals with special education needs.
  • Complete all required documentation in the electronic medical records within all regulation guidelines.
  • Maintain a caseload to help assist clients on an individual level while in treatment to work on treatment goals.
  • Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or related field preferred or Bachelor's Level in field with at least 2 years of experience
  • Experience in facilitating group and individual therapy sessions in Substance and Mental Health field
  • Experience working with individuals with both substance use disorders (co-occurring), and mental health disorders.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools and assessment procedures.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic interventions.
  • Previous experience in an outpatient or inpatient residential facility and able to maintain a client caseload.
