The clinic is an insurance based practice serving clients with mild to moderate mental illness. The associate is paid for all time worked with a caseload of 3-25

• patients per week depending on their availability and desired caseload. PTO is available and insurance reimbursement available to associates who see 22
• or more client per week.
• Based on 53-minute sessions.

Bay Area Psychological Services provides high-quality individual, couple, and family psychotherapy to improve individual and family functioning. We seek to improve access to culturally responsive and affirming mental health care to people throughout the Bay Area.

Pay:

$38.00-$50.00/Hour (including supervision and other work tasks)

Hours:

Minimum of 3 sessions per week to a maximum of 27 (53-minute) or 29 sessions (45-minutes each) per week. Paid hours range from 4-40 depending on caseload and clients per week. Part-Time or Full-Time (Full-Time includes health and dental benefits)

Therapist Job Responsibilities:

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients.
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
• Create individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances.
• Meet with clients regularly to provide psychotherapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress.
• Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
• Refer clients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
• Maintain thorough records of client meetings and progress.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality.
• Coordinate treatment with other healthcare providers.
• Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Participate in individual and group supervision.
• Registered Psychological Associates will conduct psychological testing of clients.

• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
• Ability to effectively provide clients with evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions
• Ability to assess the effectiveness of interventions provided and adapt treatment as necessary

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences Or
• Master's or doctoral degree in psychology and ability to register as a Psychological Associate in California
• 1000 hours of experience providing psychotherapy services.
