Job Description

Associate Therapist Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Therapist to join our growing outpatient mental health practice. This full-time position is ideal for a clinician working toward independent licensure who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The Associate Therapist will provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy services under the supervision of a licensed clinical supervisor while developing clinical skills and working toward independent licensure. This position offers the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving the mental health and overall well-being of our patients.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and psychosocial evaluations under clinical supervision. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' clinical needs. Provide individual and family therapy using evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, and other appropriate interventions. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries utilizing ICD-10 diagnostic coding. Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in weekly clinical supervision and team case consultations. Identify patients experiencing behavioral health crises and collaborate with supervisors and the treatment team to implement appropriate interventions and safety planning. Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, coping skills, and available community resources. Deliver services through both in-person and telehealth platforms as appropriate. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards. Participate in ongoing professional development and complete licensure supervision requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Active Associate-level licensure or registration in the state of practice (e.g., Associate Licensed Counselor, Associate Clinical Social Worker, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, or equivalent). Eligible to practice under the supervision of a fully licensed clinician. Knowledge of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities, including CBT and other therapeutic interventions. Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and ICD-10 documentation. Previous experience in a private practice or community mental health setting is preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth platforms is preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while seeking supervision and collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
