ABOUT SWEET OAK THERAPY

  • and I wanted to build a place that reflects those values from the inside out.
We specialize in perinatal mental health, parenting, fertility, and family systems work. We partner with a local school to bring therapy to children at their school site, and we're building a referral network that means our associates have significant support filling their case load. This is a ground-floor opportunity. Sweet Oak Therapy is growing intentionally, and the people who join now will help shape what this practice becomes. We are interested in investing heavily into the folks who are a good fit for our practice.
THE ROLE
As a Sweet Oak associate, you'll work with individuals navigating perinatal mental health, early parenting, and relational challenges, with room for broader clinical work outside the specialty. You'll receive weekly supervision and be part of a small, collaborative team that genuinely invests in each other's growth. We're open to therapists who want to work fully via telehealth across California, or who want an in-person presence in the East Bay
  • we have some shared office space if you're local for hybrid work.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Active registration with the BBS as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC in California Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work Genuine interest in perinatal, early childhood, or family systems work
  • you don't need to have it all figured out yet, just a real pull toward this population Strong organizational skills and a commitment to timely documentation Independent, self-motivated, and collaborative by nature Ability to see clients via telehealth on a HIPAA-compliant platform Bonus points if you bring: Coursework, training, or lived experience related to perinatal mental health Familiarity with CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, or attachment-based approaches Bilingual or multilingual skills — we warmly encourage applications from multilingual therapists A commitment to culturally responsive care and working with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities
