Job Description

Boland & Associates is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and relationship-focused mental health therapist to support children, adolescents, and families in a private practice setting. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working with neurodiverse youth, values autonomy and flexibility, and wants to be part of a collaborative, supportive team environment. Position Summary The Mental Health Therapist provides counseling services primarily to school-age children and adolescents experiencing challenges related to ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, emotional regulation, and related behavioral or developmental concerns. The therapist will manage an individualized caseload, provide therapeutic interventions, maintain clinical documentation, and collaborate with families and the practice team to support positive client outcomes. This position offers significant scheduling flexibility, including part-time or full-time opportunities, evening availability, hybrid/virtual options, and optional weekend hours. Key Responsibilities Provide individual counseling services to children, adolescents, and occasional adult clients Develop and implement individualized treatment approaches based on client needs Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Adapt therapeutic methods to meet the needs of neurodiverse clients and clients with varying communication or emotional regulation abilities Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and treatment notes Manage scheduling and client caseload independently Participate in monthly team meetings and individual supervision/check-ins as appropriate Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and referral partners when appropriate Provide telehealth services as needed or appropriate for clients Preferred Clinical Experience Ideal candidates will have experience or strong interest in: ADHD Anxiety disorders Autism spectrum disorders Emotional regulation and social skills development Working with school-age children and adolescents Supporting neurodiverse populations Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is preferred but not required.
Qualifications Required:
Active Ohio licensure as one of the following: Licensed Social Worker (LSW) Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Comfort working with children, adolescents, and families
Preferred:
Independently licensed clinicians (LISW or equivalent) Experience in private practice settings Experience providing telehealth services Experience working with autism spectrum disorders and neurodiverse youth Schedule & Work Environment Flexible scheduling available Part-time and full-time opportunities considered Most client appointments occur between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM to accommodate school schedules Hybrid work options available, including in-office and virtual sessions Optional weekend availability welcomed but not required Compensation Compensation is competitive and based on licensure, experience, and caseload structure.
