In this role, you will provide expert therapeutic services to children and teenagers facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. We are looking for a neurodiversity-affirming therapist. Your expertise will help empower young individuals and their families to navigate mental health issues, foster resilience, and achieve positive outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young clients through evidence-based practices and personalized care. Duties Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand each child's unique needs, strengths, and challenges. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing multi-modal approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, play based therapy, etc. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage urgent situations effectively while ensuring client safety. Collect and maintain accurate medical documentation, behavioral health records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with client's multidisciplinary and school team if necessary. Incorporate culturally sensitive approaches to address diverse backgrounds and individual needs within the community care setting. Skills Proven experience working with children and adolescents with various neurotypes. Expertise in evidence-based practices CBT, DBT, ACT, etc. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards for patient privacy and confidentiality. Excellent case management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple services seamlessly. Proficiency in crisis intervention strategies and conflict management techniques. Knowledge of behavioral management strategies for challenging behaviors, and comfort working with client's external systems. Strong communication skills for engaging children, families, schools, and community partners positively. This role is perfect for a school social worker who is interested in getting some experience in the private practice space, or is looking for an additional stream of income.
