Full Job Description Overview:
EMDR Empowerment is looking for a licensed therapist or pre-licensed that is close to licensure trained in EMDR (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, PhD, PsyD) to join our team. EMDR Empowerment is a growing group practice that is dedicated to increasing awareness of EMDR and revolutionizing what people perceive as possible in therapy through the use of EMDR. We believe that EMDR provides people with hope, relief and freedom and we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic EMDR therapist to provide the highest level of care to clients.
Our Ideal Candidate:
An individual whose dream job is doing EMDR with clients in almost all of their therapy sessions and whose enthusiasm and appreciation for EMDR comes through in their work with clients. Considers themselves an EMDR therapist, not a therapist that does EMDR. Desires to do results-focused work with high functioning clients. Knowledgeable about or trained in Attachment- Focused EMDR and is well versed in the modified protocol. Easily attunes to clients in their healing process and creates a safe space by being non-judgmental, supportive, compassionate and warm. Brings a customer service focus to their interactions with clients and other professionals. Has a strong desire to grow professionally in a private practice without having to manage the burden of running a business or deal with the stress of generating referrals or tending to administrative tasks. Desires to develop a career with EMDR Empowerment and contribute to our Team!
Minimum Qualifications:
Fully licensed or close to licensure in California as a Psychologist, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC Completed Level 1 of EMDR Training and the required 10 hours of consultation (or is close to completing consultation) Well-developed clinical skills and a passion for working with diverse, multicultural clients Able to work both independently and collaboratively Able to maintain clear boundaries Comfort holding space as intense traumas are processed Weekday and/or weekend availability for a combination of in-person and virtual sessions at the Los Altos, CA office
Preferred Qualifications:
Completed Levels 2 and 3 of EMDR Training with the Parnell Institute Trained by the Parnell Institute in Attachment-Focused EMDR and the Modified Protocol Interest in becoming Certified through EMDRIA Understands EMDR from the client's and therapist's perspective
Bonus:
If you have an area of specialization or a population that you love doing EMDR with (i.e. kids, teens, addiction, first responders, LGBTQIA+, veterans, postpartum depression, medical traumas, sexual assault survivors, etc.)
Please Note:
Pre-licensed individuals that have completed EMDR training and are close to licensure are welcome to apply. (Compensation indicated is for licensed therapists) You will grow into a larger caseload - anticipate beginning with 1-10 clients and building up to 10-25 clients.
