The ideal candidate will utilize evidence-based practices such as psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavioral management to assist clients in achieving their mental health and wellness goals. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual, group, or family therapy in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and via telehealth platforms. The Therapist will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using appropriate medical terminology and ICD coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10). Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to client needs. Provide individual, group, or family counseling sessions addressing issues such as trauma, grief, addiction, PTSD, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, gender issues, chronic pain management, and other behavioral health concerns. Utilize crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes. Implement behavior management strategies and conduct behavior analysis for clients with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges. Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and documentation of patient care activities accurately and timely. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in inpatient, outpatient, or research settings to ensure holistic patient care. Engage in clinical research or data collection efforts to improve therapeutic approaches and outcomes. Participate in intake procedures and coordinate case management activities for diverse client populations. Stay current with medical terminology updates and ICD coding requirements relevant to mental health services. Requirements Currently accepting LCADC's, LAC's, LSW's, CADC's. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or art/dance therapy preferred. Strong background working with children & family counseling, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, or special education populations is highly desirable. Experience with crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively. Ability to work with diverse populations including patients with PTSD, chronic pain conditions, or gender issues counseling needs. Excellent communication skills combined with empathy and cultural competence to foster a trusting therapeutic environment. Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards throughout all clinical activities.
