Job Description
PeerBuddies pairs individuals with social challenges with same-aged Peer Buddies to create an inclusive space for learning essential social skills. The program is led by dedicated, skilled, and credentialed professionals with extensive experience in Applied Behavior Analysis. The Lead Facilitator will provide clinical skills instruction, social skills intervention, and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to neurodivergent individuals in the community. The Lead Facilitator will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, and volunteer Facilitators with clinical assessments as needed. Essential components of this position are listed below, but subject to change at the discretion of PeerBuddies LLC. This job description describes essential job functions, but does not provide an exhaustive list of duties that may be assigned. Responsibilities Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements. Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols. Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior. Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients. Maintain client confidentiality. Assist Program Director, Clinical Supervisor, and volunteer Facilitators in preparing client materials as instructed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment. Collaborate with the treatment team including clients, volunteers, parents, caregivers, outside professionals, Clinical Supervisors, volunteer Facilitators, and co-workers. Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required training sessions. Be responsible for tracking supervision hours, and contacting Supervisor if supervision requirements do not meet expectations. Attend a weekly 2-hour meeting with all PeerBuddies staff to discuss client intervention procedures. Be aware of changing expectations and procedures as PeerBuddies, and the ABA field, include more neurodivergent voices in developing their treatment plan. Qualifications At least one year experience working with children in social settings required At least two year commitment with PeerBuddies required Recent college graduate or current college student Passionate about supporting individuals aged 4-22 with social challenges Has a car and is able to drive to Sessions Dependable, amiable, responsible, punctual, and professional
