Licensed Clinical Therapist

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

 Conduct individual and/or couples therapy sessions and be willing to accommodate clients' availability (days and times are negotiable).  Assess clients' mental health needs.  Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation for each client.  Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of services.  Stay informed about current developments and best practices in the mental health field through ongoing professional development and training.  Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing mental health practice in the state of Indiana.  Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.  Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.  Creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.  Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.  Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.  Involves and advises family members when appropriate.  Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.  Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.  Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

 Master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.  Current and valid licensure as a mental health clinician (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of Indiana.  Proven experience in providing individual and/or couples therapy.  Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. Our agency handles cases in the following counties: Marion, Johnson, Hendrix, Hancock, Hamilton, Madison, Morgan, Shelby, Boone and Cass.  Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to client care.  Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.  Flexibility to work evening hours.
