Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs. Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual client requirements. Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure immediate safety and stabilization for clients experiencing acute distress or trauma. Facilitate individual, group, family, and pediatric counseling sessions focusing on issues such as grief, addiction, PTSD care, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation compliant with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively for accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Engage in clinical research activities and data collection to support ongoing program development and quality improvement initiatives. Experience Proven experience providing mental health counseling in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on behavioral health or clinical counseling. Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders, geriatrics, or individuals facing gender issues counseling. Familiarity with crisis management procedures and crisis intervention strategies for diverse populations. Telehealth experience is highly desirable for delivering remote patient care effectively. Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding is a plus. Ability to handle complex cases involving trauma, PTSD care, addiction counseling, grief counseling, or chronic pain counseling while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Strong skills in medical terminology and medical records management to ensure precise documentation of patient assessments and treatment plans.
