We provide high-quality mental health services and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling through contracts with multiple Employee Assistance Programs and Behavioral Health Organizations. Our approach centers on client care, ensuring compassionate, effective services for individuals, families, and organizations.Position Overview:
As a Clinical Therapist II, you'll conduct intake assessments, develop client-focused treatment plans, provide community referrals as appropriate, and facilitate psychotherapy sessions and Employee Assistance counseling. This role ensures the highest standards of therapeutic care. Focused Solutions LLC offers a comfortable, supportive, and flexible work environment.Hours/Schedule:
Full-time or part-time (W-2) positions available Flexible hours, self-determined Must include a minimum of 8 hours of evening or weekend availability Available for at least 8 hours of in-office work each week. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical psychotherapy/EAP sessions, building a caseload dependent on employment status of 15-20 or 28-30 clients per week. Conduct mental health counseling, substance abuse assessment/referral and EAP services. Maintain accurate case records per state and ethical standards. Report child abuse, elder abuse and/or violence as required by ethics and law. Maintain clinical licenses in dedicated states/district. Keep current with CEUs. Participate in practice meetings and clinical meetings. Facilitate therapeutic or educational groups as appropriate. Promote Focused Solutions' services. Other duties as needed.Qualifications:
Must be a licensed LCPC, LCSW-C, LMFT or Psychologist in the state of Maryland or District of Columbia Prior experience working with law enforcement, first responders or military personnel populations or have worked as or a family member of a first responder, law enforcement officer or military personnel a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office and DocuSign. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Hybrid remote in Columbia, MD 21044We are seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide comprehensive mental health services within a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will possess licensure such as LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or PhD in psychology or related fields, with a strong commitment to delivering evidence-based care. This role involves conducting clinical assessments, providing individual and group therapy, and supporting patients across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The therapist will utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote mental wellness and resilience while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. Duties Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Provide individual, couples, and family counseling utilizing approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Implement specialized interventions for clients with behavioral health diagnoses, including PTSD, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, or assessing for addictive behaviors. Occasionally engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health care needs. Collaborate with community medical professionals to coordinate care plans, including psychopharmacology considerations and medical record documentation. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate data collection, progress notes, and treatment documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Provide Employee Assistance Program direct counseling and offer CIR, workforce training, health fairs as needed. Offer psychoeducation and support to families and caregivers within home or community settings to enhance patient outcomes. Maintain ongoing professional development through training inICD-10/ICD-9
coding for diagnoses and CPT coding for billing purposes. Requirements Valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or PhD in psychology or a related mental health discipline from an accredited program. Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in clinical settings such as hospitals or community clinics. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems for medical documentation and data management; experience withICD-10/ICD-9
coding and CPT coding is preferred. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder is highly desirable. Knowledge of addiction counseling strategies and trauma-informed care approaches such as PTSD care is advantageous. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and case management while maintaining meticulous medical records. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
