  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Trauma-Focused Therapist to join our team at Freedom Counseling and Yoga.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling, trauma-informed care, and a commitment to supporting individuals through their therapeutic journey. This role will involve working with clients to assess their needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing support, either through somatic therapies and yoga practices or other experiential therapies or skills/modalities you can offer! Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being, with a focus on trauma history and its impact. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs, utilizing trauma-informed modalities. Provide therapy sessions that integrate traditional therapeutic approaches with art, mindfulness, or yoga/somatic practices to support holistic healing. Provide EMDR therapy to address PTSD and CPTSD symptoms. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to client care. Engage in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices in trauma-informed care and somatic therapies. Create a safe and welcoming environment that fosters trust and encourages client engagement. Skills Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and mental health counseling practices. EMDR basic training completed. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and record-keeping. Ability to maintain detailed and accurate client records while ensuring privacy standards are met. Experience working with a client-centered approach, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and cultural competence. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
