Job Description
North Shore Child & Family Guidance is seeking a talented, dedicated and compassionate social worker or mental health counselor to join our team that works to bring hope and healing to children and adolescents who are struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessment with children, youth and families in a co-occurring program. Conduct family, group and/or individual psychotherapy as needed, within the weekly productivity requirements of the program. Monitor, evaluate and record client progress with respect to treatment goals. Interview clients, review records, conduct assessments, and/or confer with other professionals to evaluate the mental or physical condition of clients or patients. Carry a minimum of two groups that meet, minimally, on a weekly basis. Make necessary referrals and participate, as needed, in client engagement with higher levels of care (e.g. hospitalization, day treatment, partial hospital care). Provide clinical consultation in regard to family interactions, community resources and socio-cultural determinants. Complete paperwork in a timely manner and participate in all administrative functions, including staff training, necessary to support direct service provision. Utilize Electronic Health Records and Concurrent Record Keeping as directed and indicated.
QUALIFICATIONS
LMSW or LMHC preferred.. CASAC Preferred One year of paid, full-time experience treating and diagnosing substance use and mental health disorders. All staff member licenses must be kept current with respect to required Continuing Education Units.
