We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate licensed or provisionally licensed mental health clinician to join our team as an independent contractor (1099). This position will primarily provide outpatient counseling services from our Salisbury office location. The Salisbury office is located on the property of Saving Grace Farm and operates separately from our Equine-Assisted Therapy Program. Position Summary The therapist will provide outpatient mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and families. Clinicians will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide psychotherapy services, maintain clinical documentation, and collaborate with other providers as appropriate to support client care. Major Responsibilities Provide high-quality, ethical, and compassionate outpatient mental health therapy services to clients. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and utilize clinical data to formulate clinically supported DSM-5 diagnoses. Develop individualized treatment recommendations and treatment plans based on assessment findings. Create measurable treatment goals that reflect client needs and priorities. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote emotional wellness and improved functioning. Monitor and document client progress toward treatment goals and objectives. Complete all required clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, within established timeframes. Continually assess client needs, service appropriateness, and treatment effectiveness. Collaborate with families, schools, physicians, and other treatment providers, as appropriate and with proper consent. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records in accordance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards. Adhere to all HIPAA, professional, and licensing board requirements regarding confidentiality and clinical practice. Qualifications Education Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related Human Services field. Licensure Licensed or provisionally licensed in North Carolina (LCSW/LCSWA, LCMHC/LCMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA). Experience Preferred minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience providing mental health services. Skills Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with electronic health records and general computer applications. Knowledge of ethical and legal standards related to behavioral health practice. Compensation & Schedule Independent Contractor (1099) position. Flexible scheduling. Hybrid opportunities may be available based on client needs and clinician availability.
