Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. This role is open to both Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPC) and Licensed Certified Professional Counselors (LCPC) in the state of Maryland. You will provide high-quality clinical mental health services, including assessments, treatment planning, and individual or group therapy. ​For LGPCs, we offer robust, compliant clinical supervision to support your journey toward independent licensure. Responsibilities Deliver evidence-based therapies such as psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and behavioral management. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute situations effectively while ensuring patient safety and adherence to crisis management protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work principles, case management strategies, and medical terminology understanding. Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and documentation with precision; utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions when appropriate. Engage in clinical research activities and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to ongoing behavioral health studies. Qualifications Master's degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling psychology or related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as a Maryland licensed professional counselor (LCPC) or licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC). Experience working with children, adolescents or adults In outpatient settings. Knowledge of behavioral health treatments including trauma-informed care for PTSD patients and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity in crisis management techniques, behavior management strategies, Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience delivering services remotely is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments effectively while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings; experience in clinical research or data collection is a plus.
