There is a group for mothers, and a group for fathers. The candidate would also have the opportunity to see clients enrolled in individual and family therapeutic services as well. If you are passionate about child welfare and re-unifying families, this is the position for you. Our therapists aim to enable our clients to process their trauma, overcome their obstacles, and reach their goals in order to live healthier, happier lives with their families. We are seeking candidates with experience in counseling, trauma, and the child welfare system. Social work and counseling licensure is a plus. This is an independent contractor (1099) position that provides a flexible schedule and free supervision towards state licensure. We strive to enrich our client's lives and make a difference in Chicago communities. Chicagoland Professional Therapy Group is hiring independent contractor therapists to provide counseling services. We serve clients referred by the state of Illinois/Department of Children and Family Services as well as clients referred from private agencies around the city, and also provide general counseling services to the public. The candidate will provide a weekly parenting education group, and would have the option to also provide individual and family counseling services. Currently, we are providing both in-person and remote services to clients. We are seeking a candidate who can provide in person and remote services. The therapist is responsible for conducting weekly classes that are 3 hours in length. Classes run for 12 weeks and have 8-10 participants. The participants receive monthly reports, monthly 1-1 reinforcements sessions, and a class termination report. Should the candidate also want to provide individual and family counseling services, the therapist would be responsible for providing intakes, providing efficient mental health treatment, conducting mental health assessments, maintaining monthly and quarterly documentation, attending staffings/meetings, attending supervision and submitting timesheets and required billing documentation in a timely manner to the practice. Therapists are independent contractors (1099) and create their own schedules. An ideal candidate is independent, flexible, compassionate, and a self-starter. Ideal candidates have experience in child welfare/ the welfare system and/or counseling experience. New master's graduates are more than welcome to apply. The ideal candidate is required to easily navigate a computer, Microsoft office (primarily word and excel), adobe, email, and google drive independently. Our therapists have much freedom in their choice of treatment modality/ methodology used during sessions. Are you new to the counseling field and ready to work towards your licensure? Candidates with a Masters in Counseling, Social Work, and Psychology will be considered are encouraged to apply. We provide supervision to therapists seeking licensure. Candidate must own a computer, have internet services, provide their own phone, be proficient in Microsoft, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and MUST have general computer knowledge and proficiency.
