Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Psychotherapist to join our growing mental health private practice. This is a per diem position that offers a high degree of autonomy and a diverse clinical experience including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with disabilities. You will provide services to a steady stream of clients through our partnership with a local community organization as well as other referrals. This role is designed for flexibility, offering a hybrid service model that includes telehealth, office-based visits, and in-home care. Your expertise will support clients through crisis intervention, behavioral management, and therapeutic interventions tailored to their unique needs. Key Responsibilities Multimodal Clinical Care:
Provide high-quality psychotherapy via telehealth, at office locations, or within client homes, depending on clinical necessity and client preference.
Flexible Caseload Management:
Manage a schedule that works for you, utilizing referrals from our partner organization to build your hours and/or building your own case from other portals.
Independent Growth:
Opportunity to bring in and manage your own private-pay clients under the practice umbrella.
Documentation:
Maintain timely, HIPAA-compliant clinical records for all sessions, regardless of the delivery method.
Professional Development:
Work toward becoming credentialed with major insurance providers through the practice.
Other Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans. Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), grief therapy, and/or other therapy modalities that may fit the clients' needs. Implement crisis management strategies to support patients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma, including PTSD care and grief counseling. Develop personalized treatment plans that addresses complex issues such as addiction, neurodevelopmental disorders, chronic pain, adjustment disorders, and trauma. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality of medical records and proper coding for billing purposes (CPT coding). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management and patient care coordination. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote psychotherapy services while adhering to clinical standards. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding systems and CPT coding for medical documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, or geriatrics. Strong skills in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, behavior management strategies and social work principles. Telehealth experience; ability to adapt seamlessly to virtual platforms for patient care. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling practices. Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and cultural competence. Requirements & Qualifications Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Must hold a valid state license to practice (e.g., LICSW, LMHC)
Adaptability:
Comfort moving between virtual platforms and in-person community settings.
Telehealth Proficiency:
Experience with or willingness to learn secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing tools.
Transportation:
Reliable transportation is required for community/home-based visits.
Insurance:
Must maintain active professional liability (malpractice) insurance.
