Position Summary Blackbird Health is seeking independently licensed therapists to support our patients over the Summer. This flexible seasonal opportunity is designed to support increased summer patient demand, with a focus on after-school, evening, and weekend virtual therapy availability. As a Summer Therapist, you will provide evidence-based telehealth therapy services to children, adolescents, and young adults while working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary pediatric behavioral health team. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking: Supplemental summer income Flexible remote work Evening/weekend hours The opportunity to transition into an ongoing 1099, part-time or full-time role with Blackbird Health Fully remote opportunities are available, with optional hybrid/on-site opportunities for clinicians interested in in-person care. Clinically Excellent You are an experienced clinician using evidence-based practices with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Relationship-Focused You excel at building meaningful therapeutic relationships and creating safe, engaging environments for patients and caregivers. Developmentally & Neurodiverse-Informed You are skilled in supporting patients across developmental stages and neurodiverse presentations. Collaborative You thrive in team-based environments and value interdisciplinary partnership and consultation. Tech-Savvy You are comfortable using telehealth technology, EMR systems, Google Suite, and virtual communication platforms. Flexible & Patient-Centered You are willing to support patients during core evening and weekend hours when families need care most. How You'll Make an Impact Deliver High-Quality Therapy Provide individual telehealth therapy sessions for youth ages 2-26 using evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to patient needs. Support Family Engagement Partner with families and caregivers to improve understanding, treatment engagement, and patient progress. Drive Clinical Outcomes Monitor patient progress toward goals and adjust treatment planning as clinically appropriate. Collaborate Across Teams Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, intake providers, and administrative teams to support coordinated patient care. Maintain Clinical Excellence Complete timely documentation and maintain high-quality clinical records and patient communication. The Basics You'll Need Independently licensed as one of the following:
LPC LCSW LMFT
PsyD/PhDLSW LMSW
Active unrestricted license in at least one U.S. state Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and adolescent populations Minimum of 1 year of telehealth or virtual care experience preferred Reliable phone, computer, and high-speed internet connection Availability for a minimum of 8 hours weekly during core hours: Monday-Friday after 3:00 PM ET Weekends between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM ET Why Blackbird is Unique Immediate referrals available Flexible scheduling Fully remote opportunities Optional hybrid/in-person opportunities in select markets Weekly paid clinical consultations Full credentialing support provided Administrative support so you can focus on clinical care Professional liability insurance coverage No-show and late cancellation reimbursement Collaborative and supportive clinical culture Compensation $70-$100/hour depending on licensure, experience, and market. Potential for Ongoing Employment Providers participating in the Summer Core Hours Program may be considered for ongoing part-time or full-time opportunities with Blackbird Health following the summer program based on performance, scheduling availability, and organizational needs.
