This is a fully virtual, telehealth-based position. You will provide individual psychotherapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant telehealth the day following each patient's Spravato treatment — during the induction phase and through the first four weeks of maintenance. Your role is to help patients process, integrate, and extract meaning from their esketamine experience within the framework of an evidence-based therapy session. Sessions are billed to insurance as standard outpatient psychotherapy. All documentation must reflect evidence-based therapeutic modalities consistent with payer requirements. Ketamine coaching informs your clinical approach — it does not replace it. What You'll Do Conduct virtual individual psychotherapy sessions the day after each patient's Spravato treatment Facilitate therapeutic processing and integration of esketamine experiences Support patients through the full induction phase and approximately the first 4 weeks of maintenance Collaborate with our psychiatric team (MD, PMHNP) on shared patient care coordination Complete HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation within 24 hours of each session Obtain and document telehealth informed consent per Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners requirements What We're Looking For Active, unrestricted Arizona behavioral health license: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT Certified ketamine-assisted psychotherapy or ketamine coaching credential from a recognized training program Comfortable working as an independent contractor within a medical clinic environment Telehealth competency and a reliable HIPAA-compliant platform setup Experience with or strong clinical interest in psychedelic integration and altered-state therapies Grounded, steady presence — you know how to hold space after a non-ordinary experience Strong documentation habits and familiarity with insurance billing standards for outpatient therapy Compensation & Structure 60% revenue share on all insurance reimbursements collected for your sessions 1099 independent contractor — set your own schedule around existing commitments 100% virtual — work from anywhere in Arizona, no commute required Next-day sessions only — no observation room requirements, no same-day constraints Current volume: 20 patients per week, targeting 40 by end of summer 2026 Credentialing administered through Headway — faster onboarding, strong payer rates About Unchained Psychiatry & Wellness Unchained Psychiatry & Wellness is a REMS-certified interventional psychiatry clinic in Gilbert, AZ specializing in treatment-resistant mood disorders.
