Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with individuals, families, and groups to address a range of psychological and emotional challenges. The Therapist will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to understand clients' needs. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Engage in child and family counseling, ensuring effective communication with parents and guardians. Offer support for clients dealing with PTSD, addiction, grief, chronic pain, and other mental health issues. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for insurance purposes. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for clients with developmental disabilities or those requiring special education services. Facilitate crisis management and behavior management strategies as needed. Stay current with clinical research and best practices in the field of mental health counseling. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field. Valid state licensure as a therapist or counselor. Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is preferred. Knowledge of various therapeutic approaches including psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy. Familiarity with telehealth practices and experience providing remote counseling services is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology related to mental health care. Ability to perform patient assessments and case management effectively. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations including geriatrics and individuals with autism or other disabilities.
