  • Full-time Position Purpose The Classroom Clinical Treatment Provider (CTP) co-manages a therapeutic early childhood classroom specifically designed for young children who have experienced trauma.
Position Summary The CTP's role involves implementing behavioral health interventions for children facing significant developmental, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Collaborating closely within the classroom setting, the CTP ensures that all children receive high-quality early childhood education while receiving tailored behavioral health treatments to help them achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities include designing daily lessons, activities, and interventions. Additionally, the CTP maintains a caseload of children requiring daily clinical documentation that meets Medicaid standards. As necessary, the CTP also fulfills duties such as driving and monitoring the transportation of children to and from the agency. Key Duties and Responsibilities Implement the evidence-based Incredible Beginnings curriculum, focusing equally on interventions that help children achieve their Individual Plan of Care (IPOC) goals. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required classroom child assessments, including the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and Devereux Early Childhood Assessments (DECA) as mandated by ACH. Collaborate with ACH Child & Family Therapists and children's families enrolled in the program. Actively participate in scheduled treatment team meetings, providing input on children's progress. Engage caregivers weekly via phone and provide daily notes to families. Maintain daily clinical documentation and notes that meet Medicaid standards. Implement procedures for First Aid, child emergency procedures, and Handle With Care practices effectively. Serve as a driver and/or monitor for the bus schedule transporting children to and from the agency, adhering strictly to ACH transportation policies and procedures (Family Engagement and Eliminate Barriers to Treatment). Assist with Treatment Room functions and activities, including transitions, mealtime, child hygiene, and treatment activities, collaborating with team members. Uphold confidentiality regarding ACH families and staff, adhering to federal HIPAA requirements. Maintain knowledge and compliance with all childcare licensing standards and regulations, including required professional development hours for Childcare Career Center Development (CCCCD). Complete a minimum of 15 hours of annual training through SC Endeavors as required by SC DSS. Complete annual Medicaid training as mandated. Undertake special projects and other assigned duties as needed. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in early childhood development, behavioral health, social work, or a related field. Coursework must include preparation to work with children and families from diverse backgrounds, addressing developmental and mental health concerns. A minimum of 9 semester hours related to early child development, along with at least one year of experience working with children under the age of 5, and one year of experience with children at risk. Must meet the qualifications for a Rehabilitative Behavioral Services Mental Health Specialist as defined by DHHS, and the requirements for a childcare worker as defined by DSS. Preferred Experience Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the practice and procedures of ABC Quality and DECA strategies to build protective factors and positive behavioral guidance Exhibit knowledge and understanding of developmentally appropriate practice plans for treatment goal achievement. Required Skills and Competencies Willingness to travel for meetings and training, which may include overnight stays. If you are 25 years old, a willingness to drive a small bus (no special license required), have a current driver's license, proof of insurance, and an acceptable driving record that meets compliance standards. Proficient writing skills to meet clinical submission standards. Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Successful completion of all required background checks. Must be at least 21 years old. Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and walk 0.25 miles Ability to engage in physical activities with children, such as playing, running, and climbing. May need to lift up to 40 pounds Stand, sit, bend, and kneel for extended periods Must be able to ride a small bus While performing the duties associated with this position, this employee is regularly required to talk and listen; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
