School-Based Therapist (LPC-A, LMFT-A, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT) Thornwell | Laurens, SC Thornwell is seeking a Licensed School-Based Therapist to join our Thornwell Community Counseling team. In this role, you will provide mental health counseling services to students and families within local schools, while collaborating with educators and caregivers to support emotional well-being and family stability. This is a 10-month position aligned with the school calendar , offering meaningful clinical work with children, youth, and families in the community. Responsibilities Provide individual therapy and family therapy for students and their families Conduct clinical assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning Maintain a caseload of approximately 25-30 clients Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services when needed Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, parents, and other providers Deliver parenting support, consultation, and workshops when appropriate Complete documentation in accordance with Medicaid and third-party billing requirements Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and professional development Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field Active South Carolina license (LPC-A, LMFT-A, LPC, LMSW, or LMFT) Supervision provided for LPC-A and LMFT-A licensed applicants Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance Thornwell is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening children and families.
