Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center Work Week:
Full-Time - (Generally 37.5 hours weekly)
Classification:
Exempt/Salary Starting Salary:
$55,000 + depending on licensure status and experience. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? Safe Harbor is seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our team. This role is designed for a compassionate professional who will provide trauma focused therapy services to child victims of severe abuse, including sexual abuse, and/or those who have witnessed a violent act. Specialized training The Role The therapist provides a therapeutic environment and setting appropriate to meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of the children served. The therapist will provide therapy services to children and their non-offending caregivers which includes but is not limited to: Assessment and evaluation of counseling needs Crisis Counseling Development of treatment plan(s) Trauma focused therapy utilizing best-practice modalities, such as EMDR and TF-CBT. Conjoint therapy as needed with family/caregiver(s) of children served Collaborate with the Child Protective Investigative Team (MDT) members and serve as a consultant to CPIT members Provide referrals for other services and resources as deemed necessary Qualifications Education Master's Degree required in Social Work or Counseling Must be licensed or working toward licensure in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT) Additional Experience Preferred Two (2) years of clinical practice with children and families in the provision of individual and familytherapy. Specialty training and experience in the child abuse field with particular emphasis on Child Abuse and Trauma, including TF-CBT, EMDR, and/or art/play therapy. Experience in trauma-informed care or the judicial system is a plus. Skills Compassionate, empathic listening, collaborative as well as ability to work independent, detailed record-keeping, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Bilingual Skills:
