Fairfield Psychological Associates is a well-established private practice located in the heart of Virginia Beach. We are a team of compassionate clinicians dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to our community. Position Summary:
We are seeking a Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) who has a passion for working with children, adolescents, adults and families . The ideal candidate enjoys a private practice setting with the flexibility to manage their own schedule while being supported by a collaborative clinical team.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and families Conduct thorough intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and ethical guidelines Collaborate with parents, schools, and other professionals to support client progress Participate in occasional team meetings, trainings, and peer consultations Maintain compliance with all licensing, confidentiality, and ethical standards
Qualifications:
Licensed in Virginia (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field Experience or strong interest in working with children, teens, and families Excellent communication, organization, and clinical skills Self-motivated and comfortable managing a caseload in a private practice setting
Preferred Experience:
Training or certification in play therapy, CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems Background in school-based or family systems work
