Full Job Description Job Title:
Outpatient Therapist The Outpatient Therapist provides individual and group mental health services to clients in an outpatient setting. This role involves assessing client needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional, behavioral, and psychological well-being. The therapist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, client-centered care. Duties and Responsibilities Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health concerns Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and other clinically appropriate interventions Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs Provide counseling services for clients experiencing mental health disorders, addiction, gender-related concerns, and psychosocial stressors Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, case managers, and medical providers, to coordinate comprehensive care Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically indicated Stay current with best practices, ethical standards, and emerging research in the field of mental health counseling Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required trainings Requirements and Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Active and valid state licensure as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Knowledge of and experience with evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing Experience working with diverse populations, including clients seeking gender-related counseling Proficiency in clinical documentation, medical terminology, and diagnostic coding (ICD-10) Strong understanding of ethical standards and professional boundaries Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical judgment skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered approach to care Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team Preferred Skills Experience providing outpatient mental health services Group therapy facilitation Addiction counseling experience
