Position Overview We are currently seeking a warm, skilled, and flexible licensed mental health therapist to provide school-based therapy services within the Waunakee Community School District. This position will primarily support students, while collaborating closely with families, educators, and student services staff to support student well-being. We have three positions available at the following schools: Waunakee Elementary Schools (Prairie, Arboretum, Heritage) Waunakee Intermediate School & Waunakee Middle School Waunakee High School Come work with an amazing team dedicated to supporting students and families in meaningful and lasting ways. Key Responsibilities Provide individual therapy to students in the school setting Conduct family and group therapy sessions as needed Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, administrators, and student services teams to support student success Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, flexibility and a collaborative spirit in all interactions Engage families in treatment planning and support progress towards treatment goals Participate in school-based collaboration and in IEP/504 meetings as appropriate Conduct mental health screenings and assessments as appropriate Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation Participate in individual and group supervision to support professional development and high-quality client care Follow all applicable legal, ethical and professional requirements related to safety, mandated reporting and suspected abuse or neglect Maintain flexibility to accommodate occasional before, after-school or evening intake appointments Travel between schools within the district as needed Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field Active Wisconsin licensure preferred (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT); clinicians in training are also welcome to apply but candidate status required Experience working with children and adolescents in schools or similar settings preferred Strong trauma-informed and culturally responsive care approach Ability to pass school district background check What We Offer Competitive compensation and benefits package Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) matching Paid time off Professional development and CEU support Supportive clinical team with regular consultation and collaboration Administrative support for billing and referrals Manageable caseloads with no on-call responsibilities Opportunities for leadership and professional growth Learn more about us at: We would love to have you join our team!
