Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Advanced Trainer EMT 1 to join our emergency medical training team. This role involves delivering comprehensive training programs to aspiring emergency medical technicians, law enforcement personnel, military units, and other first responders. The ideal candidate will possess extensive EMT experience, including emergency room and emergency medicine exposure, and demonstrate a strong commitment to adult education and curriculum development. As an Advanced Trainer EMT 1, you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills, knowledge, and safety of emergency responders through engaging classroom instruction and practical training sessions. This paid position offers an opportunity to influence the next generation of emergency medical professionals while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Duties Develop, update, and deliver engaging curriculum tailored to adult learners in emergency medicine and first aid procedures. Conduct classroom training sessions on topics such as CPR, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, first aid, and emergency response protocols. Facilitate hands-on practical exercises that emphasize real-world scenarios for EMT students. Ensure all training activities adhere to current laws, regulations, and best practices within emergency medical services. Assess student performance through evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain detailed training records. Promote safety by instructing proper PPE usage and emphasizing infection control measures during all practical exercises. Collaborate with law enforcement, military personnel, and healthcare professionals to ensure training relevance across various emergency contexts. Incorporate curriculum development principles to continuously improve instructional content based on feedback and evolving standards. Maintain a professional learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and skill mastery. Stay current with advancements in emergency medicine, law enforcement procedures, military tactics, and related fields to enhance training quality. Qualifications Extensive EMT experience with a strong background in emergency room settings or emergency medicine. Proven expertise in adult education principles and classroom teaching methodologies. Certification in CPR and first aid from recognized organizations. Demonstrated ability to develop effective curricula tailored for diverse learner groups. Experience working with law enforcement agencies or military units is highly desirable. Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols and infection control practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct clearly and motivate learners effectively. Prior experience in curriculum development or instructional design within emergency response fields is preferred. Ability to operate safely with personal protective equipment (PPE) during practical training scenarios. Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse backgrounds.
