Clinical Educator (College of Health Sciences - Speech Language Pathology) Faulkner University - 4.4 Montgomery, AL Job Details Part-time 18 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Working with individuals with speech impairments Full Job Description Clinical Educator (College of Health Sciences - Speech Language Pathology) Montgomery, AL, USA Part Time Faulkner University's College of Health Sciences is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Clinical Educator for the Speech Language Pathology Program. This individual must have a desire to provide speech language pathology services to adult patients/clients in the on-campus Faulkner Clinic while simultaneously providing clinical education and oversite to speech language pathology students as part of the clinical education program. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ. Position is (30-40 hours per week) clinical position.
Summary of Duties:
Evaluate and treat adult clients in the on-campus clinic Engage as a clinical instructor for current SLP students Communicate with the Director of Clinical Education for all students engaged in part-time or full-time clinical education Complete all required clinical education assessment documentation Demonstrate and maintain expertise necessary to ensure appropriate clinical practice Ensure liability protection of self, patients, and student inclusive of professional, governmental, institutional and current risk management principles Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists on patients who require a multi-disciplinary approach
Qualifications:
Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Alabama or eligible for licensure in Alabama required Minimum of a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from a CAA accredited institution required Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) required Minimum of 2 years demonstrated expertise in Speech Language Pathology required Experience in clinical education of SLP students preferred For initial application submit: Curriculum Vitae Cover letter Employment is conditional on a satisfactory background check and verification of work authorization through E-Verify.
