Compensation:
$23.73•$29.66 per hour Position Summary Pima Medical Institute is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Instructor to teach foundational healthcare courses on-site at our Aurora campus. This role is ideal for an allied health professional or educator with a strong background in anatomy and physiology who is looking to teach on a structured, 20-hour weekly evening schedule. PMI provides all training, lesson frameworks, and curriculum guidelines. Healthcare CPR & First Aid Key Responsibilities Instructional Delivery:
Deliver established lesson plans in foundational courses live on campus, using a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Academic Evaluation:
Evaluate, provide feedback, and grade student coursework, tests, and assignments within 72 hours of submission.
Student Advisory:
Maintain scheduled office hours during shift blocks to advise, assist, and tutor students who require additional academic support.
Documentation & Records:
Maintain precise and timely documentation for student files, attendance logs, incident reports, and academic early alerts.
Behavioral Management:
Discuss and document academic or behavioral issues with students as they arise; escalate concerns to the Assistant Dean of Faculty within designated timeframes.
Safety Compliance:
Enforce all institutional safety, security, and sanitation standards for students, staff, and visitors during classroom and lab sessions.
Campus Engagement:
Participate in faculty meetings, in-services, graduation ceremonies, and professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Graduation from an accredited program in a relevant healthcare or academic field OR a minimum of three (3) years of related occupational experience.
Subject Matter Expertise:
Demonstrated knowledge of core subjects—specifically Anatomy & Physiology—through documented post-secondary coursework or direct professional experience.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of practical work experience in a healthcare, medical, or related industry.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of teaching or instructional experience in a post-secondary or healthcare environment.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$23.73•$29.66 per hour.
