Transplantation Science is an outreach program written and designed by Donor Alliance that is taught in 6th through 12th grade classrooms across the state of Colorado. The mission of Transplantation Science is to educate students about the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation for our community. The Transplantation Science Educator travels to local middle schools and high schools to teach students about the science behind organ, eye, and tissue donation for transplantation. Day-To-Day Teaches Transplantation Science curriculum in local middle schools and high schools, grades include 6th through 12th. Compiles data from classes taught. Builds relationships with teachers and creates new opportunities to encourage growth of the Transplantation Science program. Engages students to interact with Transplantation Science curriculum and materials. Maintains and responsibly stores Transplantation Science materials. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, health, science, liberal arts or related field and/or equivalent work experience required. Three plus years teaching or paraprofessional experience strongly preferred. Colorado teacher license strongly preferred. Proficiency in the use of computer equipment and software, including but not limited to Zoom and Google Meets.
Compensation:
$25.00/hour Applications will be accepted for three weeks from the posting date noted at the bottom of this posting.
