We work at the intersection of Medicaid-funded behavioral health services and community-based peer support — connecting people in recovery from substance use disorder with the coaching, skills training, and clinical resources they need to build lasting stability. In this role, you will be embedded as the behavioral health representative at one of our partner agencies focused on job readiness and vocational support. Lifeline provides the behavioral health layer — peer coaching, skills training, outreach, and clinical oversight — while the partner agency supports clients with employment navigation and workforce development. / Peer Coach, you are not just facilitating groups — you are showing up as living proof that recovery works. You bring your own lived experience into every room you enter, and use it to build genuine connection with the people we serve. You will conduct outreach, lead groups, provide 1:1 peer support, and document your services in our EHR. This is an in-person, community-facing role that requires reliability, genuine care, and a commitment to showing up — for your clients and your team. What You'll Do Group Facilitation Lead and co-lead outreach groups supporting clients in behavioral health recovery and vocational skill-building Arrive at 8:30 AM for morning huddle on days you are facilitating Create a welcoming, structured, trauma-informed group environment Facilitate weekly client orientations introducing new clients to available supports Adapt group content to meet clients where they are within the established curriculum framework Outreach & Client Connection Conduct outreach in person and over the phone to identify and engage interested clients Assess client needs and match them with the right support — peer coaching, group programming, or partner agency referrals Follow up with referred clients to ensure connection and support are in place 1:1 Peer Support & Resource Navigation Provide individual peer support sessions to assigned clients Support clients in identifying goals, navigating behavioral health challenges, and building stability Connect clients to internal and external resources including housing support, employment pathways, and partner agency referrals Use Calendly to schedule and manage client appointments Documentation & Compliance Complete and release all session notes in Reliatrax the same day — no exceptions Maintain HIPAA compliance in all client interactions and documentation Attend weekly RPO clinical supervision (Medicaid compliance requirement) Submit invoices on a bi-monthly schedule What We're Looking For Required Current QBHA certification or active enrollment in a qualifying QBHA program, AND/OR Currently enrolled in COPA or actively working toward CPFS certification Personal lived experience with behavioral health recovery, reentry, homelessness, or related circumstances — foundational to this role Ability to facilitate group settings with confidence, warmth, and structure Comfort conducting outreach with people who may be in crisis or navigating significant barriers Strong verbal communication and genuine ability to connect across diverse backgrounds Reliability and accountability — consistent attendance and same-day documentation required Comfort with technology: Reliatrax EHR, Google Drive, Calendly Valid Colorado driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Prior experience in peer support, recovery coaching, or behavioral health settings Familiarity with Medicaid-funded behavioral health services and documentation requirements Experience in vocational support or workforce development Knowledge of the Colorado behavioral health landscape Bilingual English/Spanish a plus What to Expect This is a 1099 independent contractor position with a 90-day trial period. At the 90-day mark, we will have a review conversation covering the path toward W-2 employment, including salary, PTO, health insurance, 401(k), and continuing education support.
