Job Description

Position may be filled prior to job posting close Responsible for instructing, supervising, and testing participants in Community Based Swim Program. Under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator. Develop and instruct class material appropriate to the course description. Provides a safe environment for all participants. Attends scheduled meetings as required. Responsible for preparation for program activities and preparation of lesson plans.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to understand basic swim lesson teaching methods; adjust class direction depending on ability level; communicate effectively with all participants; establish and maintain effective working techniques.
Education and Training:
Current CPR, First Aid, and American Red Cross WSI Course or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Previous teaching experience in group swim lessons preferred.
Special Requirements:
Must be at least 17 years of age.
