In this part-time role, you'll run beginner surf lessons
• both private sessions and small groups
• for mostly adult tourists looking to experience the ocean for the first time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead beginner surf lessons (private and group sessions, up to 6 participants)
• Ensure student safety in and out of the water at all times
• Deliver pre-lesson briefings on ocean awareness, etiquette, and technique
• Set up and manage surfboard equipment before and after each session
• Maintain a positive, encouraging, and professional attitude with all clients

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1 year of professional surf instructing experience
• Minimum 3 years of active surfing experience
• Strong swimming ability and comfort in open ocean conditions
• CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
• Comfortable working primarily with adult clients; occasional lessons with kids
• Available weekends and flexible hours

NICE TO HAVE

• ISA or equivalent surf instructor certification
• Bilingual English / Spanish
• Lifeguard certification
