Qualified DSP - Evenings and Nights Karisma, Inc - 4.2 Columbus, GA Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $12 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Assisting with ADLs High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Direct support Full Job Description We are seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living meaningful, independent lives in their homes and communities. Job Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision to individuals receiving services Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, meals, and mobility Support individuals in achieving person-centered goals identified in their Individual Service Plan (ISP) Promote independence and community integration (shopping, appointments, recreation, etc.) Document services provided in accordance with DBHDD standards Maintain health, safety, and rights of individuals served Follow all DBHDD policies, incident reporting requirements, and agency procedures Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Verifiable 5-year work history Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background check and drug screening Ability to complete required training (orientation, CPR/First Aid, and annual DBHDD training requirements within 30 days of hire) Ability to lift, assist, and support individuals as needed Complete physical, TB test, and orientation before working with Individuals Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities Experience with person-centered supports or behavioral support plans CPR/First Aid certification CPI Training Required Skills ✔ Compassion and patience ✔ Strong communication skills ✔ Ability to follow care plans and documentation standards ✔ Dependable and professional work ethic
