GME Community Resource Specialist

Position Summary The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Community Resource Specialist is a member of the Mission Services Division and St. Joseph's/Candler African American Health Information and Resource Center team. The GME Community Resource Specialists serves as the primary point of contact for patients and Residents of the Residencies housed in the Georgia Infirmary, connecting people with resources at the AARC, particularly addressing disparities of health and wellbeing.

This position reports to the Director of Community Centers. Education Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Education

• Required Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Education
• Preferred Experience 1-2 Years Community Outreach or Public Health
• Required License & Certification None Required Core Job Functions Provide Residents, patients, and community members with information and education about the programs and services available at the AAHIRC.

Develop programming to assist the patients from the Georgia Infirmary Resident Programs address disparities of health, especially as identified by the triennial Community Health Needs Assessment. Foster a welcoming presence for GME Residency patients and residents at the AAHIRC. Serve as a representative of St. Joseph's/Candler Mission Services Divisions as directed by the Vice President of Mission Services.
