Jobs › Erving, MA › Health Agent Town of Erving Health Agent Erving, MA Apply ERVING Health Agent The Town of Erving, Massachusetts seeks motivated, community minded individuals for the position of Health Agent, full-time (40 hours/week), benefited. The Health Agent works under the direction of the Erving Board of Health and serves as the lead employee for a 3-town, Franklin County Health Services Partnership, that represents the towns of Erving, Northfield and Shutesbury. The Health Agent will work on a variety of public health matters that include, but are not limited to, the inspections of housing, Title V, public pools, food establishments, and recreational camps. This is a public facing position that works directly with co-workers, citizens, property owners, and our regional and State officials.

Qualifications A Baccalaureate of Science degree in public health, or a related field; minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of demonstrated experience in a professional or municipal setting. Demonstrated Department of Environmental Protection coursework on state environmental code or public health topics is preferred. A Registered Sanitarian (RS) certification is ideal but not required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered. Special Requirements must possess a Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator\'s license Incumbents are expected to attend, successfully participate in and receive certificates of completion from recognized seminars and courses e.g., soil evaluator, pool operator, food inspection, lead enforcement/determination, septic inspection, housing code enforcement, infectious/communicable disease recognition, emergency dispensing site protocols, and post natural disaster planning.
