Fitness Professional for Parkinson's Disease Exercise Classes At
EMPOWER MOTIVATION FITNESS
Join Our Team and Empower Lives Through Movement! Are you a compassionate and skilled fitness professional looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dedicated assistant coach to help with exercise classes tailored specifically for individuals living with Parkinson's Disease/other movement disorders. If you are passionate about improving the quality of life for others through movement and exercise, we'd love to have you on our team! About the Role As a Fitness Professional specializing in Parkinson's Disease exercise classes, you will:
  • Assist the head coach with the group exercise sessions that cater to the unique needs and abilities of individuals with Parkinson's Disease.
  • Help incorporate exercises that focus on balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, and mobility.
  • Provide encouragement and motivation to participants, creating a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Monitor participants' progress and modify exercises as necessary to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to understand participants' needs. Qualifications We're looking for candidates who possess:
  • Certification in fitness instruction, personal training, or a related field (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM).
  • Experience or training in working with individuals with Parkinson's Disease or other neurodegenerative conditions (preferred) as well as the Rock Steady Boxing Assistant Coach Certification (can be complete prior to start date)
  • Strong understanding of exercise science and the ability to tailor programs to varying fitness levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a supportive and engaging atmosphere.
  • CPR/AED certification (required). What We Offer
