Full Job Description SUMMARY:
To develop, review, and collaborate on discipline specific training content and process improvement. To use their in-depth knowledge and expertise in behavioral health to deliver accurate and up-to-date information, supervision, training, and solutions.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Providing expert knowledge and insights into the behavioral health role including: Biopsychosocial assessments, care planning and interventions, complex case management, psychotherapy, motivational interviewing and crisis intervention. Assisting in the development and review of project documentation, training content, and manuals. Developing and conducting on-boarding training and ensuring learned competencies for behavioral health. Working with various teams to ensure accuracy and relevance of educational and collaborative content related to behavioral health topics. Identifying potential areas for process improvement, suggesting changes, and creating workflows. Conducting thorough research to stay updated on changes in their field of expertise. Contributing to the development of policies and procedures relevant to their area of expertise. Participating in or leading training sessions, webinars, and workshops. Reviewing content developed by others for accuracy and completeness. Answering specific queries and providing guidance based on their expert knowledge. Consulting across business operations, providing mentorship, and contributing specialized knowledge. Participate in determining technical or software needs. Resource and/or champion for discipline specific projects. Partners with the department leadership team to ensure effective operations and clinical activities. Works with behavioral health services including psychiatrist, psych pharmacist, department leadership and medical director to further develop programing and training to serve our participants with behavioral health needs Performs other related duties, as assigned by leader(s). Ability to travel to all
PACE SEMI
centers, as this may be required for environmental audits, training, or completing competencies of the staff.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Master's degree in Social Worker from an accredited school of social work. Current and unrestricted licensure to practice in the State of Michigan. (LMSW required). Minimum 1 year experience working as a behavioral health specialist or in a comparable role. Demonstrated knowledge of educational design, training delivery, and adult learning principles. Proven ability to evaluate, plan, implement, and monitor patient-centered approaches to care. Knowledge of and adherence to applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations. Strong cultural competence and the ability to effectively serve diverse populations. Ability to learn and utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Positive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a healthcare, hospital, or integrated behavioral health setting. Prior involvement in program development, staff education, or training facilitation. Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives, clinical policies, or regulatory standards. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams and complex patient populations.
