Job Description

Position Overview The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for assessing and determining the company's workforce wellness needs . The position will develop plans, suggest wellness activities and schedul e activities . The Wellness Coordinator will also evaluat e the success of the wellness programs, identify training needs, coordinat e staff to assist in wellness events and re solv e employee complaints. Duties and Responsibilities C oordinat e all wellness programs for employees Demonstrate expertise in planning health awareness events and programs P rovide individual support and counseling to employees in general wellness or nutrition Implement a wide range of health-related programs and services throughout the company Develop internal marketing campaigns to promote a healthy lifestyle M anage the wellness budget Conduct surveys to determine clients' interest in wellness programs Build positive relationships with employees in an effort to promote wellness coaching Maintain wellness-related schedules, records, and reports Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location. I nteract and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner. Availability on site to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis. C ommunicat e via email , prepar e reports and work schedules. R eview and analyze data and information concerning health -related programs . P lan, prioritize and monitor health awareness event activities. C omplete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner. Supervisory Responsibility No direct management or supervisory responsibilities . Safety Observe safety and security policies and procedures , including proper use of Personal P rotective E quipment ; report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. Travel Approximately 3 0 % travel is required to commute between and provide service to the Quaker campuses . Travel will also be used to attend training courses and off-site meetings. Qualifications An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Deeply familiar with a wide range of health-related programs and services Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, Outlook Clinical background preferred CPR / First Aid Certified Preferred Education and Experience The expectation is that the individual has achieved a minimum level of education and/or related expertise to qualify for this position. Associate's Degree required Bachelor 's Degree in the Health Education, Exercise Science, Physical Education, Nutrition or other similar discipline and/or clinical licensure preferred Minimum 3 Years Experience in the Wellness Space Competencies and Skills Collaboration and Team Building Communication Proficiency & Listening Reading and Comprehension Skills Customer Service Focused Discretion and Confidentiality Resourceful / P roactive in G athering I nformation and S haring I deas Problem Solving Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Physical Demands The demands and environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Some days are largely a sedentary role with frequent sitting and other days there may need to be standing for 8 hours. The position occasionally requires use of all ambulatory functions includi ng standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, crouching, stretching and pulling. T he employee may also occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. It is an essential job function and safety rule, applicable to every employee working in a safety sensitive classified position, to be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Work Environment Although the employee will primarily be in an office setting, w hile performing the duties of this j ob, the employee will need to visit the factory and be exposed to climactic variations , various levels of vibration, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office is usually low, but hearing protection and other types of Personal Protective Equipment will be required for visits to certain parts of the factory .
