Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and passionate about educating individuals on life-saving techniques including First Aid, CPR, and AED use. This position is perfect as supplemental income for someone who does not work a usual 9-5 job, as courses are typically scheduled Mon-Fri during these hours. Responsibilities Deliver engaging training courses Adopt American Red Cross and/or American Heart Association lesson plans and instructional materials for classes Demonstrate proper first aid techniques, CPR procedures, and emergency response protocols Prepare and conduct hands-on training sessions in private company or group settings Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback Maintain accurate training records and documentation Requirements Willingness to become certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED Willingness to become a certified instructor Strong interest in first aid principles and emergency response procedures Proficiency with computer-based presentations (PowerPoint, HDMI connection, etc) Ability to set up/clean up equipment for class use (CPR manikins, chairs, etc) Flexibility and availability for 1-4 monthly classes, typically on weekdays between 8 am and 5 pm, occasionally outside other times of the week. Excellent public speaking and communication skills Ability to educate and engage diverse groups of learners Preferred but not mandatory Experience in emergency medical services Experience in adult education or teaching Experience with social media, advertising, marketing Compensation Instructors are paid by commission per class, based on gross revenue of class taught - the listed hourly rate range is real! Instructors have more earning potential when they directly book classes and have higher student count - like owning a business, but with a lot less responsibility Anyone with any interest in this position is encouraged to apply!
