Parent Educator

SCOPE OF WORK
This position will be responsible for home education, guidance, and instruction on high quality parenting, care of infants and toddlers. The Parent Educator will perform day to day tasks of the Home Visiting Program.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides in home parent education to program families utilizing the parenting curricula available. Assists in strengthening parent-child interaction through improving parenting skills and by modeling appropriate activities during each home visit as measured by case progress notes. Establish a maintain a trusting relationship with at-risk families by initiating regular client contact. Establish a Family Support Plan with goals, objectives and activities with supervisor within 90 days of receipt of signed participant agreement. Documentation of all home visits will be completed within two working days of making the home visit.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent to 2-year degree preferred. Parent Educator certification preferred. Valid Driver's License preferred
SHIFT:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM TESTING
AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
Subject to pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing. Must submit to a background check.

Qualified applicants who are enrolled members of a federally recognized Tribe will receive Native American preference. Qualified applicants will receive Veteran's Preference with submission of proof of honorable military service (e.g., DD-214).
