Flexible Hours Union City, NJ Posted 6 hours ago $41.00 USD / Hour NHCAC We are seeking a compassionate and experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to support breastfeeding families through our WIC program. The IBCLC will provide direct lactation counseling, assessment, education, and follow-up services to WIC participants in clinic settings, participant homes, and community locations as needed. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare providers, WIC staff, Peer Counselors, and community partners to promote and support successful breastfeeding outcomes. Responsibilities include conducting breastfeeding assessments, developing care plans, issuing breast pumps and breastfeeding aids, documenting services, making appropriate referrals, and providing mentorship and training to breastfeeding support staff.
Qualifications:
Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification required WIC experience preferred. Strong communication, counseling, and organizational skills. Ability to travel to various WIC sites and participant locations as needed - must have own means of transportation. Bilingual English/Spanish Per diem, 8 -30 hours per week. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
