The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching essential first aid and CPR skills to various audiences, including adults and youth. This role requires strong communication skills, public speaking abilities, and a passion for educating others about safety and emergency response. Candidates with experience in swimming and lifeguard training will be highly regarded. Pay is PER CLASS, typically $150-$200 for each class Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover first aid techniques, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Conduct classes in a clear and effective manner, ensuring all participants understand the material presented. Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles within the classroom environment. Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to reinforce learning objectives. Assess student performance through practical evaluations and written tests. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress. Stay updated on the latest first aid guidelines and teaching techniques to ensure course content is current. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions and participation. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching or adult education, preferably in first aid or related fields. Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively. Knowledge of first aid techniques, CPR, and emergency response protocols. Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable. Background in swimming or lifeguard experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information simply. Classroom experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for teaching is essential. Medical Experience Preferred But not Required Requirements Ability to commute to different job sites across Reno, Nevada Reliable computer to show course presentations on CPR and First Aid Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor Certified (preferred) EMT or higher medical training (preferred) Join us in making a difference by equipping individuals with the vital skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies!
