Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Health and Nutrition Manager to coordinate health, oral health and nutrition services and promote optimal health outcomes for children enrolled in our Head Start program. In this vital role, you will track child health services, provide child and parent education, collaborate with the RN and Registered Dietician to meet the needs of enrolled children. Your leadership will inspire a culture of health, wellness, and continuous improvement, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. Duties Develop, coordinate, and oversee comprehensive care plans focused on nutrition, health and safety, for enrolled children. Participate in team meetings to address health related concerns Supervise the food service, ensuring compliance with CACFP and Dept of Health regulations, safety standards, and quality service delivery. Provide regular parent education on topics that affect the community Lead training sessions for staff on topics related to family style meal service, child health topics, and safety procedures Assist the RN with Hearing and Vision screenings Collaborate with care givers and healthcare providers to obtain follow up with health and oral health concerns. Participate in bi-weekly meetings with other content area managers Skills Basic knowledge of child/ human development Navigation of computer systems for data entry and reporting Prior knowledge or willingness to learn and uphold all OCFS regulations and Head Start Performance Standards Skilled relationship building with families
Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
