Responsibilities Develop and deliver high-quality EMT training courses aligned with state and national standards, including curriculum development tailored to adult learners. Conduct classroom instruction covering emergency medicine principles, CPR, first aid, and other essential skills for emergency medical services. Facilitate practical skills sessions in simulated environments to enhance hands-on learning and real-world preparedness. Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical exams, and ongoing feedback to ensure competency and readiness. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and certifications while adhering to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with law enforcement, military agencies, and emergency room professionals to incorporate diverse perspectives and best practices into training modules. Stay current with evolving emergency response protocols and incorporate new techniques into curriculum updates. Qualifications Proven experience in emergency medicine or related fields such as law enforcement, military service, or emergency room settings. Prior teaching or instructional experience with adult learners preferred; strong curriculum development skills are a plus. Certified in CPR and first aid; additional certifications in emergency response or advanced medical procedures are advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of EMT protocols, first responder techniques, and medical procedures relevant to pre-hospital care. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively. Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse audiences while maintaining a lively and motivational classroom environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for recordkeeping and compliance purposes.
